Helena Jensen is a sommelier and writer based in Paris, France.
She works independently curating wine for events and creating experiences for fellow wine and food enthusiasts. When Helena is not showing visitors around Parisian wine bars and restaurants, she works as a contributing writer for the New York City-based wine publication, Swurl Media, and (occasionally) publishes essays on her Substack, Musings on Wine.
During the summer, Helena works full-time as a sommelier and manager for Ventuno and Via Mare in Nantucket, MA. She has previous experience working in the wine program for Michelin-starred restaurant, Reverie, in Washington, DC, and in various hospitality and tour-leading roles for Island Creek Oyster farm in Duxbury, MA.
Helena received her diploma in Wine and Management from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, studied cooking at Suhrs food school in Copenhagen, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English and History from Georgetown University.
